Celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the transformation in Poland bring up only the success of those who won and gained profits in the aftermath, but does not mention nor suggest solutions for those who have lost, like State Agricultural Farm workers and other people who were depending on the communist system. We shouldn't judge the transformation only based on economic growth and numbers, but look closely to the society structure and should suggest solutions for those who have lost.

To day or not to day #108: City councils must tame the beast that is called inter-municipal cooperation - The more tasks municipalities get the more powerless the council is. The tasks are so complex that they allow municipalities to implement them through partnerships. The inadequate control and lack of democratic legitimation is taken for granted.

'Limburg, the small independent.' The Dutch government is planning to merge provinces, lowering the total amount from 12 to 7. Three provincies will not be merged because of their strong cultural identity. This might result in a politically more removed, weaker position for the smallest of them: Limburg.

A couple weeks ago I went to the theatre play 'De Verleiders', in Carré. The piece was played by the crème de la crème of The Netherlands’ actors guild. Five charming actors in expensive suits showed us how exciting the process of Netherlands’ biggest fraud case actually is (in case you didn’t know). They’re pointing to the audience, asking questions, screaming FUCK YOU for at least five minutes, closing deals, wearing sunglasses, going to jail, crying about losing so much money and just don’t know how to tell their wives, all in up-tempo. If it was up to me this play could go on for hours.
